Proof that we are serious students of classic English literature:

masterofmidgets: so he went to Tolstoy's estate, where Tolstoy hung out gardening and making boots and doing...whatever manly Russian peasant men do
masterofmidgets: and he gets there, and Tolstoy isn't around, so he goes wandering off looking for him on the estate, because he's got to be somewhere
colourofsaying: ...doing whatever manly Russian peasant men do?
masterofmidgets: and finally he gets to this pond that Tolstoy has on his property, and there is Tolstoy, in his peasant clothes because apparently that's what Tolstoy wore
masterofmidgets: and Tolstoy is like, I'm going swimming, want to join me?

masterofmidgets: and Chekhov...does
masterofmidgets: so they have their first conversation as famous Russian writers naked and neck deep in water
