Time for me to start freaking out about my multitudinous WIP and try to alleviate my guilt by sketching them all out on lj. So enjoy the lists of stories what I am trying to write!

Counting Crows - seven related, more or less sequential drabbleish bits (150-200 words each) on Sasuke Uchiha. Heavy on the bird imagery, because this story is drawn up around a counting rhyme about crows or ravens (hence the Sasuke), and somehow they ended up really dark, even for me. Like, birds pecking out people's eyes (metaphorically) dark. Status: 4/7 drabbles done, although the fourth one maybe needs some work.

Almost Doesn't Cut It - Remus Lupin's life in almost-kisses, most of them with Sirius. I keep having ideas for this one, deciding I'm going to write it, and then just sort of fizzling out on energy before I get anywhere, which makes me sad. Hopefully someday in the near future? Status: Um, halfway done, I think?

Dancer In the Storm: Zack isn't dead, Hojo's leftovers are attacking Edge, and Cloud is a singer in a gay club. More angsty than that sounds, but with a solid dose of silly and a good bit of fluff, regardless. Also an excuse to work the gorgeously addicting song The Queen and the Soldier into a fic without stooping so low as to write another songfic. Status: About 100 words in. All plot and no product at the moment. I know exactly where it's going, but it won't go there.

Good Omens/Dante's Inferno: not a crossover so much as an addendum - like the part of GO that has the extra lines added on in the story of Genesis? Like that, but with Dante's Inferno, and the scene where the angel descends to open the Gates of Dis. Status: currently debating whether it needs to have some kind of point, and whether I really want to go to the bother of writing even as short a piece as this will be in terza rima. C'mon. You know hendecasyllabic satire gets you going, nudge nudge wink wink etc.

Untitled Ianto angst: again! This one would try to explain the somewhat jarring changes in his character between 02X01, 02x02, and 02x03 as Ianto-on-drugs. More specifically, that unknown to Jack he's been going through counseling, and his doctor has him on anti-anxiety/anti-depressant drugs because of his PTSD/OCD/general extreme ANGST, only mostly the drugs are just fucking with him instead. Will probably involve some kind of dramatic meltdown. Status: still really shaky on the details of the plot, needs to be hashed out with Al on IM for awhile - also I'm a bit reluctant to write fic that may be retconned by canon before I get it posted, so we'll see.

I also need to start my SLE essay, but I think we all know by now how much I actually care about /that/.

ETA: No progress on any of these fics, but I did manage to 1600 words down for a story that involves quantum mirrors, Ianto!angst, and forget-about-your-dead-girlfriend!sex. Go figure...

And maybe you can help me sort out some... wiza...bloodlines... arthurian...plotli...psychosis...MPD...*trails off, mumbling* Um. Yeah. I'm a sucker for Ianto angst and I think you captured that very well. As you can probably tell, I'm eager to read more.

Would you be influence by any begging from me concerning that Untitled Ianto Angst aka Ianto on drugs piece?? That sounds like a great plot!!! And I don't really care if it's getting nuked by canon or not!

I will try! Once I am less dead from paper-writing and avoiding paper-writing and mid-terms...(in other words, hopefully later this week, but possibly not). It's an idea that could be fun, if I can figure out how to keep it from being completely melodramatic.

As much as I love this fandom, I find it hard to find original twists on the whole Ianto/Jack relationship, and your idea seemed great!

Any help you might need about antidepressants and other drugs, feel free to ask me (kinda is part of my job)!

I agree - in some ways, the fact that it's canon!slash almost makes it harder, because there's so much less room for speculation in how the relationship develops. But this is really starting to be something I want to see written out.

I see your point. But really even if it's canon, they leave us with all these blanks to fill!! Agh... makes me wish I was a better writer and I tried to make something out of that.
