And NSO Continues Unabated
Sep. 21st, 2007 12:00 amSeriously, almost all I did today was laundry. Which felt /great/. I LOVE having clean clothes. even if I did have to back and forth on the stairs (3rd floor, even) about...6 or 7 times. Just for laundry, not counting meals, checking to see if anything exciting was happening in the lounge, going to someone else's room for fondue, going to Real World Stanford, etc.
On Real World Stanford....yeah, I thought it was going to be really cheesy and lame, but actually it was pretty interesting. And funny. And it was so refreshing to hear realistic advice instead of the bullshit they feed you in high school about sex and alcohol (not that I ever listened but still). The discussion afterward though...that was kind of intense. I mean, some of it, like the stalking, was just funny, but when we were talking about rape and sexual assault, that was just really incredibly depressing. It's so...urgh and complicated and just evil and horrid and one guy came across as really awful in a way because he didn't get why it was rape just because the girl was drinking. He seems like a nice guy, he just...didn't get it, I guess. Mostly though, the guys here, or at least the guys in Faisan seem....well, they're still guys, no doubt, but not too horribly stupid. Decent, I suppose. Nice. Like they would actually think a little bit before having sex and not just jump into bed with the first hot chick they saw, and not like they see every girl only in terms of being able to score. It's nice.
Oh, and our RAs? Made of win. And our PHE. And our RCCs. *grins and glomps*
