Greeks Bearing Gifts

It makes me wonder at how lucky I am in my life to be able to see so many good things in people. Every time I start to think about becoming cynical and jaded about humanity, someone helps me with my bike without me asking them, or I find someone who has a bizarre and profitless hobby that they do just because they love it, or I meet a stranger at a dinner party who has a fascinating life story, or I pass a couple who are really genuinely in love. I know the world is a dark and scary place with a lot of badness and anger in it, but so many people, if you give them the chance, have something beautiful and wonderful in them.
So here's to all the people who are kind, or interesting, or passionate, or involved, or strange, because they make the world a place I'm really happy to live in.
