Absolutely No Spoilers Here
Jul. 18th, 2008 04:53 pmOMG WORK LAST NIGHT WAS A THREE-RING CIRCUS. Complete with clowns.
That would be because I worked concessions for the midnight premiere of The Dark Knight. And by worked concessions I mean that I worked an entire side pretty much entirely on my own (Jacob and John helped out a little, but never more than 2 minutes or so) - serving from two tubs of regular popcorn, doing kettle corn, running the big popper (we were running out really quick so we had to run it continuously all night, and the popcorn burns if you leave it in more than 30 seconds after it starts beeping), taking extra popcorn orders from the cafe, directing people to drinks/other foodstuffs/cashiers/etc, getting lids/cups/pickles/drinks/making pizzas, and sweeping - when we had /2000/ people coming in /just/ for Batman. It was fucking insane. But all the cosplayers were kind of awesome.
I resisted the temptation to tell dick manager to go fuck himself, but it was a close thing. And now I NEVER have to go back, except as a movie goer. Which I will be doing next weekend when I go to see DK.
