Happy Holidays Were Go
Dec. 27th, 2008 12:00 amWe got up early and went to my grandma's to do presents yesterday - have to do it early so my aunt can go to work at the nursing home. My dad liked his DVD he totally knew he was getting. My aunt and grandparents liked their meat (my dad picked that one). I got:
A water bottle
money
a Japanese porcelain box
more money
a Drosselmeyer Nutcracker ornament
more money
Then my grandparents were going to a friend's, so father unit and I went back to the house, where he watched sports and I unpacked boxes and read Yuletide fics. After dinner, he took me to my mom's (okay, technically new boyfriend's mom's house, but mom and new boyfriend are staying there while she's gone), where there were more presents:
a sticker-maker and several rolls of sticker paper so I can cover my door with Rahm Emmanuel stickers :)
a giftcard to Subway, where I eat embarrassingly often
an embroidered bookmark with my name and initials on that is really kind of totally awesome
And then we hung out. Boyfriend's mom has no internet, so this involved a lot of TV - Iron Chef America, Law and Order, and I even got my mom to watch an episode of Supernatural. Then when I got up this morning it was snowing like crazy, so we spent the whole day curled up on the sofa watching a House marathon. Except we skipped the episode where House and Cuddy are on the plane with the possible epidemic because EW VOMITING. Still, it was lovely and relaxing and I still feel all warm and fuzzy and Christmasy.
Hope your Christmases and other holidays went well!
