Mar. 12th, 2009 01:05 amWorst thing about today: my last fiction writing class DDDDDDD:
I'm really going to miss everyone in that class. The prof was completely awesome and amazing, and all the other students were cool, very fun and supportive of each other. It was a great writing environment, and I learned a ton. So glad I took it, despite my initial fears about putting my writing out there in public (a weird fear for someone who journals and posts fic online, I know!). And despite my hand-wringing and anxiety about being an English major and studying creative writing...I'm glad this class made that decision easier for me. I'm glad this feels like the right, if not the easy, thing to do.
A bunch of the people in the class said they were planning now on doing a creative writing minor or concentration, though, so hopefully I'll see more of them.
Best Thing About Today: Opening the email with the essay prompts for my lit paper only to find out that the paper isn't due til FRIDAY OH THANK GOD. NO ALL-NIGHTER FOR ME. I mean, I'll probably end up pulling an all-nighter, or at least a very very late night, tomorrow, but are you kidding me? An all-nighter on thursday night, when I never go to my friday class anyway, is so much more within the realm of not killing me dead that pulling an all-nighter, going to class, napping for an hour, and then working for four hours before I finally crash and die. Plus I can spend my work shift tomorrow outlining my paper. Go me!
Now all I have to do is write up the draft for the presentation in Japanese I'm giving TOMORROW that I should have turned in a week ago because I FAIL. AAAAARGH FINALS I HATE THEM.
PS: the pundit!fight between Cramer and Jon Stewart has not yet ceased to be made of lulz and win. I love me a good political bitchfight, yes indeed.
