Ooooh Look At Me I'm A Writer

After much, much, much turmoil and inner hand-wringing, have finished the revision of the Jamie and Fox story for my fiction class. The new ending is much less suck-tastic and involves significantly less exposition-dumping. I think as it is now, it does a much better job of resolving the problem of 1) Fox being a kind of flat character 2) Fox coming across as a creepy stalker and 3) Jamie being conflicted over what should be an easy choice for him. Also made the conversation with Maura better in terms of her not jumping immediately from "my boyfriend met this random guy" to "my boyfriend wants to fuck this random guy" although it could probably benefit from at least one more rewrite. Still, should suffice for purposes.

Story has been emailed to prof, which will hopefully result in a good grade for me for my writing class. Will send a full draft to telyanofcelore  later for a beta and then will probably post here, but right now sleeeeeeeeep I want it.

In five hours I have to get up and spend 12 hours getting from San Francisco to Albuquerque. Wish me luck, and a brief reprieve from the Travel Curse of Epic Doom. I will try to post tonight when I get in, just to confirm I haven't died in a heap of fiery wreckage somewhere over Utah.
