I Am Designating This My School Icon
Mar. 29th, 2009 12:49 amAccomplished: almost none of the things I planned to do over break, including acquiring work of some kind, getting my FAFSA done, and doing writing of any sort. Ah well, so it goes.
Family: Have seen all NM family members at least once in the last 10 days, lavished with love and affection in order to tide off homesickness for another 3 months. Tiny cousin has been viewed and is tiny and adorable. Mom's new apartment has been viewed and is similarly tiny and adorable. All good on this front.
Packed: everything I can think I brought with me and then some. Managed not to get taken shopping for clothes, thank god, but I do have a new skirt (well, newish), a new towel, and two tote bags that should prevent future rain+paper shopping bags disasters. Could not fit the Todd-monkey or the decent sheets in my suitcase, sadly, so they will be staying here. I have 5? maybe more books crammed into my computer bag, and I'm still peeved I couldn't fit more without it being impossible to carry through the airport and on the train, because I have 5 boxes full of books I've not seen in ages sitting right here. Purse is full of vitally necessary toiletries (in case of lost luggage), plane snacks, and supplimentary books.
I think I'm all ready to go back to California. Leaving at an ungodly hour this morning, but on the upside I should get to SF about 2, and be back to my dorm around 4 or so. The last few trips have been worryingly free of mayhem and disaster, so wish me luck. See ya on the other side.
In the meantime, I'll leave you with this. You know that Katy Perry song? I Kissed A Girl? I really hate that song. But here's three vid links that make me kind of not annoyed that that song exists.
I Kissed A Girl - The Smallville!Clark is Really Gay version
I Kissed A Girl - The I Don't Know Who Ivri Lider Is, But He Sure Sings Pretty version
I Kissed A Boy - The Jack Harkness Is A Manwhore version
