My Family Knows me Far Too Well
Sep. 10th, 2010 08:46 pmGuys, my aunt gave me the COOLEST STICK EVER last night.
It apparently started life as a either a very large wand or a very small staff (she wasn't entirely clear on this) and sort of...mutated. I'm not sure what you'd call it now, but we've been referring to it as my Whacking Stick. It does seem to have a particular heft that would make it perfect for cracking heads. And the actual carving work is pretty neat; it's at the wrong angle in the pictures to show up properly, but the knot is carved into the body of a bird, and she set some nice bits of found turquoise into it. My mom thinks I should mount it on the wall above my altar, and she's probably right about that.
As long as it's in within easy distance when I need to give certain people a good hard whack.
