It probably won't help, but I think you're a freakin' genius just for getting in, so you obviously deserve to be there, even if it is really hard.
It's so easy to say don't worry about being single and so hard to do. You won't end up alone, there are millions of people out there and when you have the time (once you graduate and get settled into a work schedule) you'll meet one that suits you.
Your dad getting remarried, can't help you on other than to say hang in there.
So basically, I hope you feel better, even if I don't make you feel better.
