I read that and I was like "whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat." And then I thought about it and was like "oh." That makes a lot of sense, actually. I think I was just envisioning naga/slugboys with huge pregger bellies and it was throwing me off. But in the context of Frankenstein it is p. insightful.
