This evening roommate, her best friend, and exchange student have been sitting around in our room talking about places to get drunk and go shopping in San Francisco. Meanwhile, I am cracking up over scans of Hal Jordan's repeated head injuries and watching Stargate fanvids set to Pinky and the Brain. I do not think you could set up a more stark contrast in life interests if you tried.

I really wish they would leave, though. It's really late, and I'm getting twitchy having so many people sitting on my quilt. EXCUSE ME. MY QUILT IS NOT FOR EATING ON. PLEASE TO MOVE YOUR ASSES NOW KTHNX.

Also! Can anyone tell me if "baller" is Stanford-specific slang, or something that people outside the bubble use? Because I swear I have never heard it in my life, but roommate and friends keep describing things as baller, and the guy whose story I'm line-editing just used it, and I AM CONFUSED.

And no, we definitely used the slang "baller" at my high school in Washington, D.C.. People more-or-less use it to mean "awesome," although I think it's official connotations have to do with thugs making big $$ by playing basketball or something.
