I'm finding the whole LET'S REBOOT OLD SERIES RATHER THAN HAVING REAL IDEAS trend the last few years tedious beyond telling, but an Alien Nation reboot? OMG DO WANT.
I was too young to see the original series when it came out, obviously. But my aunt and her girlfriend were/are huge scifi junkies, and when girlfriend was living with us, she let me dig into her collection. Which is why I own all of Alien Nation on painfully bad VHS recordings. As well as all five seasons of Babylon Five, which I have never watched because a) VHS, and b) the tapes are unlabeled. Five seasons worth of unlabeled episodes. Yeah. But the point is, Alien Nation was awesome and I was so in love with it (and with Matt Sykes!) in high school, and a reboot makes me HAPPY.
Knowing the SyFy channel (and you know, when they announced the name change I didn't really care, but the more I type it the more I hate it and want it to die), this is either going to be completely awesome or so bad I want to set my brain on fire. I'm taking bets now!
