I have a lot of life goals I think - some pretty major, like ruling the world with an iron fist, some less so, like being in a bar fight and bashing someone over the head with a chair. (I realize these are both violent and ridiculous. They're just what popped into my head, okay?)

But really? All things considered? I would settle for having a smallish, large-windowed, cozy little house filled with a great many piles of books, some of which have cats sleeping on them.

Yeah, I should probably go to bed now.

Guh, why am I still awake?

Anyway, I definitely aspire to be a cat lady. If all things work out and my Stanford education delivers, I'm all for being a rich cat lady. But, at the end of the day, you give me cats and a good book (or movie!) and I am so happy. Especially the cats. Having a significant other would probably be nice, but srsly, cats. Cats are unconditionally lovable.

Skip that. Dogs! Dogs all the way! Only small fluffy hopefully non-barky ones. I will attempt to scowl mine into silence this winter... but the books bit is good. And the lovely sunny small house... only I want a small garden and a big kitchen and a big craftroom too.

No, I want cats. Books demand cats. Not that I won't necessarily /have/ a dog, but really there need to be kitties. And a small garden with a fountain and a little cobbly path, and a craft room filled with little bits of things I will fiddle with when I'm bored and then forget about again.
