So. Yesterday was our big dorm scavenger hunt in SF, and all I can say is I was underwhelmed. Things that were less than cool on this outing:

Getting up at 8 in the morning to walk to a very far away Caltrain station

Getting two stops on the Caltrain before somebody pulled the emergency brake, bringing us to s screeching halt. And then we got started again, and made it almost another stop before somebody pulled it again (we assume), and we stopped again. And then a third time, after which they made us all get off the train and onto a different train. Pain. In. The. Ass.

My group - was nice but very half-assed. Totally not into the whole scavenger hunt idea. I talked to other people in different groups, and they did a ton of shit - fountain-hopping, stripping, cross-dressing, buying sex toys, all kinds of things. We did nothing, pretty much. And then our group kind of dissolved - Vasiliy didn't come, Rick ditched us to hang with some other friends, Prachi left to take the BART to her parents' house as a surprise, and then I separated myself from the remaining two group people because I refused to walk from Ghiradelli to Union Square and took the cable car instead. I never saw them again. For all I know, they got hauled into a back room in Chinatown to be sex slaves.

Walking. Too much walking. I really can't believe I walked from AT&T Park to Fisherman's Wharf. And then from Union Square back to the Caltrain station by AT&T Park. Soooo sore...just my feet though.

My apparent inability to come back from a weekend trip without getting sick. Happened when we went to Beijing, too. Bleh. I feel tired and icky.

As a side note, I should probably say that the trip was not a total bust, and despite my bitching, I did enjoy it.
