I Like Having Internet Again

Ever since I got home from my mom's yesterday I've been having some sort of weird catastrophic internet failure, and I think it's sad that I can't go a day without internet but I NEED MY YAOI. The problem isn't actually fixed now, as such, but I am on A network, even if it isn't OUR network, so whatever. I'll take what I can get. 

Every year my mom and I celebrate New Year's Eve by making donuts. I don't know why we do this. It doesn't have any deeper meaning or anything. Just, one year, we decided we should do something, and since partying and getting plastered wasn't really an option (for me, anyway, it's always an option for her), we decided to make donuts. It's a lot of fun, and ridiculously messy, and they always turn out fabulous, so that's cool. But this year, we just sort of...didn't. Once again, for no particular reason, other than she was tired and our kitchen is tiny and devoid of groceries and not really conducive to deep-drying. I hope this isn't some kind of inscrutable omen for the prospects of this year, cause I have high hopes for it, as years go. But then I'm notoriously optimistic.
