Home Sweet Home

Back from the lake, sandy and happy and very slightly sunburned. It was 110 degrees in Truth or Consequences, so when we weren't actually at the lake we were mostly sitting directly under the ceiling fan watching bad 80s movies, except for last night when there was a huge thunderstorm and we kept losing power.  Had a great time - laid around the beach, swam in the lake, laughed at the dog, since she hates swimming. Elephant Butte is nice, even though it's not very scenic - no trees or anything, just lots of desert and then a big lake full of jet-skiiers.

Good to be home, looking forward to going back if R will let us use his cabin again, which he probably will. Right now I'm just appreciating my internet and my AC.
