Moving and Other Things
Mar. 24th, 2012 08:38 pmThree Things (The OMG BUSY Saturday Edition)
1. I am currently filled with an unspeakable amount of love for both of my football teams. Arsenal's return to form after being trounced by Milan has been heartening, it is nice to watch the rest of the team step up in the box and not just leave all the goals to Robin, and Leo Messi is of course an unstoppable god of a striker, but we already knew that. I have worried thoughts about facing Milan again in the CL, and about Abidal's transplant, but aside from thinking good thoughts in his direction I am shelving those in favor of enjoying the moment.
2. I watched the first two episodes of Legend of Korra that Nickelodeon put up online, and OMG YOU GUYS THIS SHOW. THIS MOTHERFUCKING SHOW. It was totally worth the extra year's wait, because it is AMAZING. No spoilers, but the production values are great, the animation so far is gorgeous, the structural designs are fascinating, the music is nifty, and I love every single character so much. ESPECIALLY KORRA SHE IS FANTASTIC. AND ALSO TENZIN. AND BOLIN. AND LIN BEI FONG. AND THE POLAR BEAR DOG. BUT ESPECIALLY KORRA. I AM IN SO MUCH LOVE.
3. I have an apartment! I went with my dad today and checked out a bunch of places, but I couldn't find anything I liked more than the place I found a few weeks ago when I went with my mom and my cousin, so after we got a tour of one of the ones in that complex I put an application in. I really do like it a lot - it's a decent sized one-bedroom, and the teeny kitchen is made up for by the fact that I have a little bit of extra counter space, a pantry, and my own washer and dryer. The complex is nice, full of people my age, and within reasonable walking distance of a bus stop (and it is only three minutes from there to the stop a block from my office) and the grocery store (a local-ish natural foods chain I'm quite fond of and that is within my budget). I am moving in the beginning of May. I am super-excited! And slightly terrified by how many things I have to do before I moved out of my dad's, but still.
