I realize that living with a stranger in a very small space is a challenge for both of us. I realize that this whole roommate thing is a give-and-take process, figuring out what works and what doesn't and making compromises that leave both of us a little inconvenienced but better off. HOWEVER. There are some things I think should be a given for anyone who takes five minutes to think about how their actions might affect someone else.
I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO ASK YOU TO NOT COME INTO THE ROOM AT 4 IN THE MORNING WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND AND PROCEED TO HAVE A GIGGLY, NOT PARTICULARLY QUIET 20 MINUTE CONVERSATION ABOUT YOUR CLASSES AND YOUR PLANS FOR THE WEEKEND. PARTICULARLY NOT WHEN I TOLD YOU ALREADY I HAVE A MIDTERM THE NEXT DAY. ME VERY LOUDLY AND OBVIOUSLY ADJUSTING MY PILLOWS AND TURNING OVER REPEATEDLY MEANS "YOU'RE KEEPING ME AWAKE, STFU."
I SHOULD ALSO NOT HAVE TO ASK YOU TO NOT HAVE SEX WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND WHILE I AM IN THE ROOM, EVEN IF YOU THINK I'M ASLEEP. WE SHARE A ROOM THAT IS LESS THAN 200 SQUARE FEET. MY BED IS 2 FEET AWAY FROM YOURS. IT DOESN"T MATTER HOW QUIET YOU ARE, I CAN STILL HEAR YOU. IT'S REALLY CREEPY AND UNCOMFORTABLE AND ONCE AGAIN MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO SLEEP.
I'm not going to say this to your face, because I'm really passive-agressive and we're only living together for another 7 weeks and because aside from this, you're a really nice roommate. But this shit? Is not cool in any way. Please fuck off, you inconsiderate bitch.
