Beware of Overexcited Flailing

masterofmidgetsSo I decided that I needed to see Iron Man as soon as possible, since a) madly, madly in love with Tony Stark, and b) everyone has been raving about it, and then I got a card from aunt with money in it that she said to spend on a movie or dinner or something, so I took the train today into Redwood City (wtf is with Palo Alto not having a normal movie theater? FAIL), and saw it.
I know everyone's heard this from everyone else on their flists, but OMGSOAWESOMEYOUHAVETOGOTOTHISMOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!! The whole time I was sitting there beaming because it was just so darn fun, and then I stayed to the after credits bit and started squeeing because Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury = LOVE and Avengers movie yay!! and as soon as I got out of the theater I called Envy and the first twenty minutes of our conversation was me waving my arms and making high pitched noises. So yeah, I REALLY liked this movie.
Also, Robert Downey Jr sweaty and filthy and blowing shit up was brain breaking levels of sexy hot. Flying into the center of the sun with a nuclear bomb hot. Extremely hot, is the concept I'm going for. He has really pretty eyes. And shoulders...and...possibly there was more than one moment I wanted to lick him because damn.
On a related note, has anyone else seen the trailer for the new Batman movie? Were they making it that incredibly homoerotic on purpose? Cause it kinda, well not kinda but actually totally seemed to be pushing Harvey Dent as the love interest for Bruce Wayne in this movie. I mean, there's the scene where the woman (Rachel? Was that Rachel?) is introducing them, and Harvey says he's heard so much about Bruce, and Bruce says he hopes it's all been good, and --guh. They writers have to know that that kind of dialogue is supposed to be used in scenes when the guy is introduced to the girl his friend's trying to set him up with. And then Harvey's line to Alfred about there being any psycho ex-boyfriends he should know about...Not that I object in any way to less-than-heterosexual Bruce Wayne, because DUH BRUCE/CLARK SHIPPER HERE, but I want to know if they were doing it on purpose.
