*makes face* Today I had to be at work an hour before my shift started (due to lack of ride), and then we were dead dead dead all day. Sooooo boooooored. Especially because I finished Anna Karenina (!!!!!!!!!) yesterday, so I didn't really have anything to read during all the downtime. Instead, I ended up spending several hours writing extremely bad Torchwood haiku. Enjoy!

Ianto To Jack

Standing in the door
you do not speak, only smile
as though you'd just gone

you didn't look back
in the grey sky, wild birds keened
you did not say goodbye

when you come and go
like the mist on the autumn sea
how can I trust you?

I say it again
I am a fool to love him
but my heart's unswayed

you said you loved me
was it a child's whim, a lie?
did you miss me then?

I would follow you
to the darkest fires of hell
if only you asked

Jack to Ianto

High above the city
I stand - too afraid to speak
at the sight of you

Does the aged oak mourn
when the summer flowers die?
such are you to I
but when winter falls on you
I will long for death
(technically waka and not haiku)

how can you ask me
to love you, even now knowing
it will hurt me so?
