I'm sure you'll think I'm a picky bitch for this, but it peeves me to no end that when you all write Stanford-era fics, you have this distressing tendency to give Sam his own apartment. Off-campus housing in Palo Alto is EXPENSIVE. It is really NOT a college town the way you are thinking of it as. While there are students who live off campus, be serious - Sam has no money, and functionally no family. Unless he is hooking on the weekends or something, he probably does not have cash to spare. WHY DOES NO ONE WRITE SAM LIVING IN RESIDENCE?
Especially since the place they show him living in when the series starts? Totally looks like the Row.
Ahaha, roommate and boyfriend just got back from Watchmen and are bitching about how much they didn't like it. Will not let this deter me though! Roommate has been categorically proven to have absolutely no taste re: TV or movies. Tried to explain the concept of Watchmen to them, but that was an exercise in futility.
