I Better Not Get In Trouble For This
May. 10th, 2009 01:58 pmDear Work: If you are going to change the shift schedules so that everyone's shifts start an hour later than usual, it might be wise to maybe, just possibly, TELL THEM THIS. And not just assume everyone will check their email over the weekend. Because I? DON'T. And when the sign-up sheet for shifts says 1-4.30 and none of the supervisors or the boss during the week says 'hey, heads-up guys we're revising the shifts', I tend to assume shifts WILL NOT BE CHANGED WTF.
And I was seriously pissed off that when I got to work at my regular time to find absolutely no one there (except for a couple other callers who were as confused as I was). I wasted an hour walking down there and back for no reason, plus, since there is no way in hell I can or would walk back there AGAIN in time for my actual new shift, I'm missing work and having to switch days again. Which is a pain in the ass for me and makes me look irresponsible to my boss. EVEN THOUGH THIS IS NOT MY FAULT AND I WAS EARLY FOR WORK AS;LK:LKDLKNASF:LKASF
