Love In The Asylum

I've been saying for weeks that I needed to make some new icons, and every time I did, I laughed the laugh of the truly lazy and went back to watching youtube videos and playing solitaire. But my plans for today got upended unexpectedly right after I got up this morning, and that left me with even less to do than usual. I didn't even have any television planned for today! So icons it was. And...possibly I got carried away once I got started. Or possibly I just have too much free time on my hands. IN ANY CASE HAVE 80 ICONS.

45x Football (mostly the German and Spain National Teams, with a few exceptions). Lots of footballers looking dorky and/or hot and touching each other. Yes, I'm shallow. Yes, I'm in love with Fernando Torres and Cesc Fabregas.

36x Doctor Who. Spoilers for all of series five, including/especially 5x13. Amy/Rory, Amy/Eleven friendship, Amy/Awesome, Eleven/hideous clothing.

What I should be doing: sleeping, to make up for the four hours I got last night and the six hours I got the night before.

What I am actually doing: birthday shopping for myself (my dad said I could pick a few things out online and he would buy them for me). Listening to the Cable-and-Deadpooliest Cable and Deadpool song EVER (Bullets by Tunng). Wishing M*A*S*H were on on Sunday nights so I could get my Hawkeye/Trapper fix. Plotting Sulu/Chekov hurt/comfort set during Wrath of Khan when Chekov gets earwormed. Making icons.

D'awww, John is a sad puppy. I don't remember if I was looking through face_of_joe specifically for an pic to make into an icon, or if I was just impressed by how pathetic and adorable he looks in that one. But I do love that Joe Flanagin has a whole comm devoted to the goofy/cute/hot/bizarre faces he makes.

The freelance catamite and improbable zombies icons refer to an on-going joke with telyanofcelore . There is no evil cake-shop is a quote from a Boostle fic I wrote earlier this week that I found vaguely amusing. The Toph icon is now going to be my default for when I start babbling on about my hair (rather than my cross-dressing for justice! icon, since that makes no sense at all).

That picture of John Sheppard should thoroughly refute any remaining arguments that he might possibly be straight.

Don't feel like sleeping yet, since I didn't get up until 3.30 today, so I started making icons. Icon making is harder than it looks, if not as hard as I expected it to be? Hopefully will have a chance to make some more Lost Souls icons once I listen a few more times and decide which bits I like best (but certainly "My bicycle has a bell!" and "You love coffee! Coffee and Jack!"), and some Superbuddies ones once I get some scans where you can read the speech bubbles. *grins*
